~~Hair by Ty Segall and White Fence is one of the best purchases of my life

And I'll tell you why, because it is a fantastic album that's why!

The dress I thrifted years ago which was awesome because I love velvet and its another step towards my velvet life.

My record player is something I could not live with out. Mainly because then what would I play all my records on...I broke the needle a while back and didn't have a record player for like 2 months, two months of sadness. (I'm over dramatic you get used to it.)
I've wanted a jacket like this for years, and its so big and fuzzy you just feel super safe and warm. I am definitely using it to nap in class with this year.
I re-dyed my hair recently and it came out looking really nice I think. My friends like it better than my last color choices and its more vibrant but I can't wait till it fades a bit. I have this penchant for braiding little braids into my hair all over my head and I just can't seem to stop.
I took this earlier and if I had any photoshop abilities I would do something with my hands but I'm a horrible artist and especially a digital artist so that's enough of that. I do enjoy the photo though.

Dress: thrifted velvet BGBG MaxAzria, Jacket: thrifted denim and fleece coat, Shoes: gifted Navy Blue Doc's

I should totally poll my friends to see what color to dye my hair next. I really wanna let my roots grow out a bit, I like the contrast of natural color to toxic waste that is my head.

☮She was one hip, hip lady☮

Okay, hey! Short intro, I'm ChloĆ©, I'm 17 and I'm from Southern California and this is my first post. That's good enough for now.

So Wednesday was my first day of school, SENIOR YEAR that is. As a huge lover of Dazed and Confused I have been waiting my entire high school career to be a senior, if not only to make this shirt.
Ignore my fabulous mess, it will almost always look like that so deal.
The fact that my mother had the perfect purse in her closet only helped to make me want and wear this even more.

Ah, jebus all the art shit on my floor...look for more DIY shtuff soon I guess.

Shirt: DIY on American Apparel, Skirt: American Apparel, Shoes: Vans, Bag: Vintage Mexican Leather.

Wow, after listing that out I realized I wore an entire American Apparel outfit practically. Sorry about that, it doesn't happen often. So I guess now is as good a time as any to let you all know that I am not a fantastically wealthy shopper, nor do I choose to max out credit cards to get the latest "trendy" item. The shirt I've had for forever, the skirt I got on sale at their outlet store and the shoes were only $10 bucks after discount. Style is forever where trend is pricey and fleeting, so look for more looks in which I might not even know what brand my clothing is, or if that brand even still exists.

So I wore this on Wednesday the 29th of August, and I like to think I wore it with pride, obviously not school pride or senior pride, but pride or at least confidence that I looked well dressed yet happy. This outfit was my comfort blanket for my last "first day of high school" which until the night before it,  hadn't seemed like a big deal. But now that it's really hit me, yeah I guess I'm a bit scared, but weren't we all?

American Apparel? yeahhhhh
